Justin Trudeau's NEP II - just like dear old dad

Ezra Levant:
... His dad called it the National Energy Program, and claimed it was for national sovereignty reasons, or whatever excuse worked with the media of the day.

It’s 2014, so the excuse now is “the environment.”

Trudeau announced his plans for a carbon tax last year in Calgary — at the Petroleum Club no less. It was a shocking announcement — but not a single other media outlet reported it, except a brief mention on the Globe and Mail’s website.  ...

More from Lorrie Goldstein and Eric Duhaime.  And here's a video of Lorrie Goldstein with Faith Goldy.

He would actually be far worse than his father, even though his father did more to destroy this country than any other prime minister, so that is saying a lot. Justin, the man-child does not even begin to have the intelligence of his father, while at the same time he has surrounded himself with the most radical eco-fascists and Islamic appeasers. I doubt his father would have been stupid enough to follow the eco-fascists and Islamic appeasers.

as I have said in the past, these green folks should eliminate their own carbon footprint completely and then we would all be better off.

Yes, Justin's enthusiasms (green, pot, etc) and foot-in-mouth posture suggest he's more like his mother in intellectual 'prowess' and temperament.

Jr's handlers and advisors include some refugees from Dalton McGuinty's team, the team which brought peace and prosperity to rural Ont with the Green Energy Act and massive industrial wind development. These people would willingly do for Canada what McGuinty and Wynne have accomplished for Ont, given half a chance.

Peter Lougheed consented to the NEP.
