Resolute Forest Products sues Greenpeace

Peter Foster:
In a welcome but all-too-rare display of corporate backbone, Montreal-based Resolute Forest Products has sued Greenpeace Canada.

...claims “damages for defamation, malicious falsehood and intentional interference with economic relations” in the amount of $5-million. It also seeks punitive damages of $2-million, plus costs.
Go, Resolute!

Long overdue. Now shall we see others showing a bit of backbone? I hope so.

It sure would be nice to see more companies resisting the extortionists. Though the Forest Products Association (FPAC)executives seem to be colluding with them rather than resisting.
